The work under this Contract generally consists of the resurfacing of asphalt on O’Loane Avenue from Galt Road to Perth Line 36. The resurfacing activities primarily relate to the rehabilitation of the roadway by milling 50mm and replacing with 120mm of asphalt, extending and building up of the existing granular shoulders, the construction of ditches and regrading of existing ditches, and extension of the multi-use trail to Oakdale Avenue.

The Contractor will be allowed to close O’Loane Avenue to southbound traffic, but must maintain one lane of northbound traffic at all times. A detour and signage plan has been provided in Section 7 Miscellaneous Information for the detouring of southbound traffic.

A full road closure between Short Street and Perth Line 36 will be granted to the Contractor for two days while performing the culvert removal and replacement at station 2 360. The Contractor will submit a date for the closure to the City for approval at the time of the Pre-Construction meeting. This section of O’Loane Avenue must be reopened to northbound traffic after 48 hours.
